The Community Foundation is an independent charity dedicated to strengthening local communities. We are experts in building permanent endowment funds and awarding grants to where they are most needed and will have the biggest impact. The Foundation manages numerous different funds, set up by many different donors, each with their own unique criteria, ensuring that there is a wide range of support for our communities across the county. If you choose to support your local community through the Community Foundation, we can make the process simple, easy and quick. We want to ensure that you receive the maximum benefit, that your donation has the maximum impact, whilst ensuring minimum costs and work for you. It could be that you want to contribute to one of our existing funds, to enable you to work with other people who want to give something back. Or it might be that you want your own fund – that’s like having your own charity – but we take care of the legal side of things, and you get to focus on making awards to your chosen causes and charities.

You can support your Community Foundation a number of different ways. Simply liking and sharing our social media pages is a huge help in spreading our message and ensuring that we are able to increase our reach across the county. There are even ways in which you can make donations to us when doing your everyday online shopping! These include easyfundraising and Amazon Smile. Everytime you make a purchase through these websites, those companies will make a small donation to your selected charity which soon build up over time.
